It is what is affectionally called a "wobbler" pump. There should be a large grease fill plug on one side of the gearcase and a small round-head screw (vent) on the opposite side.

I found it in what was basically a junk heap in the back of an antique shop & couldn’t resist it. The engine turns and has compression but no spark. WebJun 18, 2024 · Make sure motor sits reasonably level. Open fuel valve and tank vent. Watch float pin rise. Now turn knob to “Prime”, which holds float pin down. Book sez 10 seconds. But I hold it till it drips. Turn knob to right, far enough to release float pin. Start motor. Run full throttle and adjust knob for smoothest running. Slow down to idle.
